New to CrittrHavens? Start with our Quickstart Guide to learn the basics of creating havens and habitats.
What Are Havens?
Think of havens as your digital rooms or workspaces where you organize your pet habitats. Each haven represents a physical space in your home - maybe your bedroom setup, living room display, or dedicated reptile room.
Havens help you:
- Organize by location - Match your digital layout to your actual rooms
- Visual planning - See all your habitats at a glance
- Easy management - Group related setups together
- Scale up - Add more havens as your collection grows
Haven Types & Layouts
Each haven type gives you different slot arrangements to match your real-world setup. Pick the one that matches your vibe.

Haven Maintenance
Deleting Havens
Need to remove a haven? Make sure it's empty first - move all habitats to other spaces or unassign them. Then long press and select delete. This keeps your data clean.
Backup Strategy
Your havens sync automatically, but consider taking screenshots of complex layouts before major reorganizations. This helps you remember what worked if you want to go back.
Best Practices
Start Simple
Begin with one haven that matches your current setup. You can always add more as you expand. Don't overcomplicate things early on.
Match Reality
Keep your digital layout close to your physical setup. This makes the app more useful and less confusing when you're actually caring for your pets.
Regular Updates
As your real space evolves, update your haven to match. This keeps everything flowing smoothly between digital and physical care.
Consistent Naming
Use names that make immediate sense. "Snake Room" works better than "Haven #3" when you're checking care schedules at 6 AM.
